THE SHOW GOES ON!!!
The show must go on, and it did! Great story of teamwork this weekend.
We had a DRAMA and a MUSICAL this past weekend. With kids from the cast of “Mamma Mia,” in full costume being told that their show would need to be cancelled Saturday afternoon when a water main break flooded them out of the Upper St Clair HS auditorium.
The STAFF at CTA was blown away by what happened next. The teens, parents and board members rallied. Accepting a generous offer from Bethel Park Superintendent Dr Joseph Pasquerilla to use their high school, we moved all the sets, costumes and musical instruments and put on the show a few hours later!
…The cast and parents and board members- and teachers and their families loaded up sets and props .. music and sound equipment— into every size vehicle they had —-and we relocated the ENTIRE show to their AMAZING auditorium— when we arrived we made minimal adjustments for the staging – worked out every “could be and maybe “ and – before we could catch or breath …MAMMA MIA HERE WE GO — the KIDS in the CAST TOOK OVER THE STAGE in a 7:30 performance THAT night!!!! No tech rehearsal— just… “working together” —-AND they allowed us to to do 2 more shows the next day!
Mamma Mia … here we GO- AGAIN!!
“Better Together” …
So many young STARS shining “so brightly… for OTHERS!!!!
It was all about the “WE”… and not the “me”!
MAMMA MIA…. HERE WE GO AGAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNN
If you need may be in need of a refund – call the CTA Monday we will take care of everything … but for now our focus is on the kids. Thank you for your patience and support.
