ALL SCHOOL MUSICAL

One of the CTA’s most beloved traditions, our All School Musical, brings students from all of our programs together in a celebratory sharing of their artistry- a fully realized production on stage! Students in 3-8th grade tackle a Broadway hit together in only a matter of a few weeks.

Current CTA students in 1st and 2nd grade are eligible to participate in our Junior Chorus. The Junior Chorus rehearses and performs in select feature moments in the show; a fabulous age-appropriate introduction to a full production!

The 2025 All School Musical title will be announced this winter!

No auditions are necessary, and all members are guaranteed participation.

ALL SCHOOL ensemble members are asked to call upon skills, technique, training, and behavior expectations established and built upon in our school year programs. Consequently, ALL CTA students MUST be registered for a class in the third session to participate in the ALL SCHOOL production.

REGISTRATION for the All School Musical will begin in March of 2025. Students MUST be enrolled in at least one Semester 2 program to be eligible to participate.

A full rehearsal schedule with times and performance details will be released before registration opens, but we generally follow this outline:

April Music rehearsals for students grades 3-8 will be held on Saturday, April 6, and Saturday, April 13 (these will not be during regular CTA class time and won’t conflict with Saturday classes).
3^rd-4^th Grade rehearses Tuesdays and Saturdays beginning April 30.
5^th-6^th Grade rehearses Wednesdays and Saturdays beginning May 1.
7^th-8^th Grade rehearses Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays beginning April 29.
1^st-2^nd Grade Junior Chorus rehearses on Mondays beginning April 29.

This year’s All School Musical will have tech rehearsals May 27 – May 30 with two performances on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Mt. Lebanon High School.

Semester 1: September 3rd – December 21, 2024
- No class Monday September 2nd – will make up on Monday, November 25
- FALL BREAK classes November 26 – November 30

WINTER BREAK: CTA CLOSED DECEMBER 22, 2024 – JANUARY 5, 2025

Semester 2: January 6 – April 25, 2025
- SPRING BREAK April 14-19

Be sure to register for Semester 1 & 2 under sessions to ensure your child can participate for the full school year.

Musical Theater classes

Our Musical Theater program incorporates the three performance elements: Dance, acting and singing. All classes are team-taught and offer students an opportunity to learn while working on age appropriate songs, basic choreography, and acting. Higher-level classes within the same program, called Performance Workshops, challenge students with progressive levels of training and more complex material.

Performance classes

Our Performance classes help you develop rehearsal skills and process as you prepare for a year-end Showcase. You’ll learn discipline, personal accountability and rehearsal etiquette as you collaborate with others in a professional working environment. You’ll build confidence and skill … and have fun doing it! We are very excited to roll out our NEW 90 minute MT Performance Classes on Thursdays. For those students who just can’t get enough “CTA Stage Time” we invite you to look into Performance Workshop 1, 2, 3 or 4. Please call the CTA if you need help with class placement.

Productions

Whether it’s for family and friends or the greater community, nothing makes learning more fun than a live production in front of a live audience. We have many opportunities for you to shine.
